The Mind Grove TMS Center is a physician-led psychiatric practice in Colorado Springs, Colorado, with a clinical focus on standard rTMS, iTBS, and Accelerated TMS. Dr. Bowers evaluates each patient individually and may incorporate medication management when it supports the patient’s care plan.
The practice was founded by Megan Bowers, MD, PhD, a dual ABPN board-certified psychiatrist in Adult Psychiatry and Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. Her background spans developmental genetics, neurobiology, and clinical psychiatry, informing a careful evaluation process for patients considering TMS-focused care.

Dr. Bowers holds a PhD in Developmental Genetics and completed a postdoctoral research fellowship in Neurobiology, alongside her medical and graduate training, Adult Psychiatry residency, and Child and Adolescent Psychiatry fellowship. Her background supports a careful, clinically grounded approach to evaluating patients for TMS-focused care.

Dr. Bowers is dual ABPN board-certified in Adult Psychiatry and Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. For adults and adolescents ages 15 and older with qualifying depression-related conditions, that training helps guide evaluation, treatment planning, and clinical oversight.

The Mind Grove TMS Center focuses on standard rTMS, iTBS, and Accelerated TMS within a physician-led psychiatric practice. Dr. Bowers evaluates each patient individually and may incorporate medication management when it supports the patient’s care plan.
Accelerated TMS uses iTBS as its delivery method that is defined by multiple treatment sessions per day, rather than once daily treatment. Accelerated protocols vary in the number of treatments per day, however all of them deliver a full course of treatment over several days to weeks, rather than months. Some accelerated protocols are FDA approved, while others are still considered off-label, and insurance coverage is not guaranteed. It may be considered for patients whose schedule, clinical needs, or treatment plan make a more condensed course appropriate.
Intermittent theta burst stimulation, or iTBS, is a form of rTMS that uses rapid theta-burst stimulation patterns. It is considered as effective as standard rTMS for treatment of adults with MDD with or without anxiety. Each appointment is approximately 20 minutes, with about 3 minutes of stimulation.
Dr. Bowers may use medication and brief adjunctive supports to help support response to TMS when clinically appropriate, including sleep support when insomnia may affect treatment, medications that augment the effectiveness of TMS, and mindfulness-based interventions prior to treatments. For patients who already have a prescribing clinician, Dr. Bowers collaborates on psychotropic medication changes rather than taking over that care; patients without a prescriber can receive that support directly through Dr. Bowers.
